Tonight over dinner, my parents were telling me how they saw Janice Ian, Richie Havens, Chambers Brothers and The Doors at the Fillmore East when they were in high school. They both went to Bayside High in Bayside, Queens. After that concert, my Dad and his friends drove my mom and her friends home in his Impala. On the way home, my dad noticed a cute little Italian girl, so he later took her on a date. It was my mom’s friend. My parents started dating after high school, after college even. 

My mom kept making references to Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist when my dad was talking about this night, saying how much it was like that.
