OH NO. Yale was always known as the gay ivy, but now it is officialy the gayest ivy. I love all my friends who are in this, but jeez is it embarrassing. Yale attracts enough musical theater types as is. I hope it doesn’t deter people from applying.

And for the record - I’m only critiquing this as the official admissions video. I have nothing disparaging to say about the production quality / talent of any individuals involved in the project. Good for you guys, but shame on the official admissions office.

I wish this energy had been put into The Yale Show instead, the appropriate forum for Yale related musical theater.

EDIT: someone reblogged this and said they actually liked it. Just to clarify, the only reason I don’t like it is because it’s the OFFICIAL admissions video. Don’t get me wrong: I lurve musical theater. As I pointed out to purns earlier, I did, after all, once write a musical with friends about the same subject as this video (called The Yale Show 2, if you’re into that sort of thing).
