"It turns out that the cliché that comics are angry, bitter people deep down is true."
The TV Watch - Are the Days of Leno, Letterman and O’Brien as Polite Hosts Over? - NYTimes.com
This sentence is a load of bullshit. More like, it turns out the cliché that people get fired and have their contract terminated early have every right to be pissed off.
I know a lot of people who are angry and bitter deep down and it has nothing to do with being a comic. It has to do with being a person in this increasingly maddening and confusing world. Ok thank you bye rant over.
(oh and also I do know a lot of really happy deeply content and grateful people, some of whom are improvisers / comedians)
Shut up, New York Times.
